‘Kids of Steele’ Golf Tournament Raises Funds for UA Steele Children’s Research Center

Kids of Steele raised $27,000 for the University of Arizona Steele Research Center at its Second Annual Miniature Golf Tournament Nov. 4.
Kids of Steele, the family auxiliary of the Steele Center, is comprised of local families who want to teach their children about service and kindness, while raising awareness and funds for the Steele Center.
Nearly 150 children and their parents participated in the event. Some of the children who played in the tournament are currently being treated by Steele Center physicians at The University of Arizona Medical Center – Diamond Children’s and affiliated outpatient clinics at The University of Arizona Medical Center – University Campus.
“This is one of the only fundraisers in Tucson in which the entire family can participate and we believe in future years this will be a major charity event,” said Ragan Edwards, Kids of Steele committee member. “We doubled the amount we raised from the first year, and we are so grateful for all the families who came out to support the Steele Center.”
