Dr. Anne Rosenfeld Returns to the University of Arizona College of Nursing as Associate Dean of Research

Dr. RosenfeldTUCSON, Ariz. – Anne Gassmann Rosenfeld, PhD, RN, CNS, FAHA, FAAN, recently joined the University of Arizona College of Nursing as associate dean for research. Internationally respected for her research program focusing on how women experience cardiac symptoms and seek health care, she has a zeal for the science that will improve clinical outcomes for women with heart disease.
In November 2011 at the American Heart Association annual scientific sessions, Dr. Rosenfeld presented the State of the Science: Women and Heart Disease.
Dr. Rosenfeld brings a wealth of academic administrative experience and a passion for nursing and health-care science. Most recently she was associate dean for research, innovation and translation at the Oregon Health and Science University School of Nursing. She is an inter-professional leader, a cardiovascular clinical nurse specialist and an avid mentor for students and colleagues. Dr. Rosenfeld is a fellow of the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Nursing. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the College of Mount Saint Joseph, her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Arizona, her doctorate in nursing from the Oregon Health and Sciences University and completed postdoctoral studies through the American Heart Association.
