Living Healthy with Arthritis Lecture Series

Wednesday, November 5, 2008 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Your doctor can prescribe medications, refer you for physical therapy or recommend weight loss or a splint, but the real responsibility for effectively managing your arthritis is yours. Taking care of yourself is crucial to performing your best.

Lauve Metcalfe, MS, faculty member in the UA College of Medicine’s Department of Physiology, and associate director of special projects for the Center for Physical Activity and Nutrition, will provide you with the motivation to start investing in your most important asset: you and your health! Whether your goals are professionally or personally focused, making the time and putting you on your priority list is a challenge for most people today.

Metcalfe is a professional speaker, wellness coach and organizational health consultant specializing in marketing and program development of health-related information to consumers.

Part of a series of Living Healthy with Arthritis monthly talks presented by the Arizona Arthritis Center at The University of Arizona College of Medicine.

Supported through the Susan and Saul Tobin Endowment for Research and Education in Rheumatology.
