Fifty-four children between the ages of 2 and 18 who have (or have had) cancer, and their siblings, will model clothes designed by students from The Art Institute of Tucson and local designers on Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Hilton El Conquistador Resort.
Runway for Research will raise funds for pediatric cancer research being conducted at the UA Steele Children’s Research Center.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for children with cancer to dress up and have some fun,” said Colin Easom, coordinator for the fundraising event. “The Steele Center pediatric oncologists and researchers will be participating in the fashion show as well, which the kids just love,” he said.
Tickets are still available and may be purchased by calling Colin at (520) 318-2707. Cost is $20. Tickets also can be purchased online: http://teeupfortots.org/donate_secure.html
