80’s Prom Night for patients at Diamond Children’s at University Medical Center

TUCSON, Ariz.— Diamond Children’s at University Medical Center will hold a special ’80s Prom Night for its teen-age patients and members of its Teen Advisory Board on Saturday, May 14, from 7-9 p.m.
“This is our way to provide a prom experience for our patients who can’t attend theirs,” says Lori Throne, RN, BC, MSN, Director of Women’s and Children’s Services at University Medical Center. “We don’t want any teen to miss this important milestone, so we decided to bring the prom to them.”
The event is free and available for all hospitalized UMC patients between the ages of 13 and 19. As of Thursday, approximately 10 teens were scheduled to attend.
The staff of Diamond Children’s at UMC wishes to thank the following Tucson businesses for donating goods and services  s to make this a special night for patients: Inglis Florist, PRO-EM Party Concepts, A Tailor Tuxedo and Bridal Shop, Michelle Burley Photography, Gadabout SalonSpa on Speedway, HUB, Frankie’s, Ghini’s French Caffe, Jonathan’s Cork, Janos and Pastiche restaurants.
