Wednesday, June 1, 2011 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Dehydration is the topic of “Water, The Best Drink,” a free presentation, open to the public, on Wednesday, June 1, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at University Medical Center, Chase Bank Auditorium (Room 8403), 1501 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson. The lecture is presented by the Arizona Arthritis Center at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Dehydration occurs when the body loses more fluids than it takes in. Dehydration interferes with the body’s normal functioning. It is easy and inexpensive to fix chronic dehydration – the solution is as close as your water faucet. Speaker Toni Coleman Miller, Community Outreach, SCAN Health Plan Arizona, will discuss everyday tips to make sure you are getting the water you need.
Seating is limited and prior registration is requested. For more information or to register, contact the Arizona Arthritis Center, (520) 626-5040, or email LivingHealthy@arthritis.arizona.edu
The lecture is part of a series of “Living Healthy with Arthritis” monthly talks presented by the Life Compass initiative of the Arizona Arthritis Center at the UA College of Medicine and supported through the Susan and Saul Tobin Endowment for Research and Education in Rheumatology.
