Arizona Arthritis Center Presents ‘Yoga for Relieving Pain and Fatigue’

An interactive demonstration of “Yoga for Relieving Pain and Fatigue” – free and open to the public – will be held Saturday, June 18, 10:30 a.m. to noon, at University Medical Center, Pivirotto Wellness Center, Room 2823, 1501 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson. The session is presented by the Arizona Arthritis Center at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
 
Jaimie PerkunasParticipants will learn breathing techniques and simple yoga poses to restore circulation and relieve tense muscles. Dress comfortably and be prepared to move and breathe. Instructor Jaimie Perkunas, DPT, 200RYT, has been working in the health-care field and physical therapy since 1998 and has been practicing yoga since 2000.

The session is part of a series of “Living Healthy with Arthritis” monthly ‘active lectures’ presented by the Life Compass initiative of the Arizona Arthritis Center at the UA College of Medicine and supported through the Susan and Saul Tobin Endowment for Research and Education in Rheumatology.
