A 25-square-mile area in the heart of the metro area is the focus of the next Science Café discussion sponsored by the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.
 
All are welcome to a discussion of “The Discovery Triangle – Urban Shift of the Future,” with Don Keuth, president and chief executive officer of the Phoenix Community Alliance, and Sara Dial, principal of Sara Dial and Associates, the key consultant on the project. The Science Café event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Bliss Rebar, 901 N. 4th Street.
 
The Discovery Triangle is an economic growth area that encompasses the dense urban areas of downtown Tempe and Phoenix and the expansive outdoors of Papago Park, offering an amenity-rich environment for businesses and residents.
 
The initiative, championed by the Phoenix Community Alliance, is set to foster innovation by capitalizing on existing infrastructure, transportation corridors and hundreds of cutting-edge companies in the area. 
 
The area includes nature, arts, culture, professional sports and a variety of affordable housing, raising its appeal to all types of businesses.
