‘The Spirit of Children’ Host Halloween Party for Patients at The University of Arizona Medical Center – Diamond Children’s

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm
On Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m., The Spirit of Children will host a Halloween Party for the patients of The University of Arizona Medical Center-Diamond Children’s.
Launched in 2006, the Spirit of Children program brings Halloween to hospitals and rehabilitation centers for kids who would normally not be able to experience Halloween.
Volunteer Spirit Halloween employees bring Halloween celebrations to the hospital with costumes, decorations and accessories. Pumpkin painting, costume parades, Halloween games and crafts offer a temporary escape for the young patients.
The program has raised more than $4 million for hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.
