Kids of Steele,-the family auxiliary of the University of Arizona Steele Children’s Research Center, will host its first “Holiday Service Event” at two of the pediatric outpatient clinics at The University of Arizona Medical Center – University Campus.
Volunteers will hand out stockings filled with goodies and serve holiday treats at the Pediatric Hem-Onc-BMT Clinic and the Angel Wing for Children with Diabetes.
“This is our first holiday event, and we are looking forward to bringing some holiday joy to the patients being treated for cancer and diabetes,” said Ragan Edwards, Kids of Steele committee member. “We are seeking donations of toys, craft supplies, games and small-denomination gift cards to give to patients throughout the year as well.”
Kids of Steele is comprised of local families who want to teach their children about service and kindness, while raising awareness and funds for the UA Steele Center.
