TUCSON, Ariz. – On Thursday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m., Colgate-Palmolive, Fry’s Food Stores and Starlight Children’s Foundation will place a Fun Center™, featuring a Nintendo Wii™, DVD player and a Sharp AQUOS™ LCD TV, at The University of Arizona Medical Center – Diamond Children’s for the pediatric patients to enjoy.
The ease with which Fun Centers roll right up to the side of young patients’ beds, or anywhere in a hospital setting, make them perfect for hospitalized children anticipating surgery, undergoing long outpatient clinic treatments, waiting in the emergency room or fighting loneliness after visiting hours have ended. The Fun Center is a welcome “guest,” when other visitors aren’t around.
“Our patients love theses Fun Centers, and we are so grateful for this gift from Colgate-Palmolive, Fry’s Food Stores and Starlight Children’s Foundation,” says Lori Throne, RN, BC, MSN, director of Women’s and Children’s Services at Diamond Children’s.
