Saturday, December 8, 2012 - 11:00am
Approximately 25 members from the Chandler Elks Lodge No. 2429 will ride their motorcycles down to Tucson on Saturday, Dec. 8, to tour the UA Steele Children’s Research Center and The University of Arizona Medical Center – Diamond Children’s.

In addition to the tour, the Elks are bringing toys, books and gift cards to give to patients at Diamond Children’s and the pediatric outpatients clinics housed at The University of Arizona Medical Center – University Campus.

The Arizona Elks (through the Arizona Elks Major Projects) have supported the Steele Center since 1991 and have raised more than $5 million to fund a research endowment, education and clinical care.

“Getting a chance to tour the Steele Children’s Research Center will provide a terrific opportunity for our Chandler Elks lodge members to learn how their donations help support this world-class research center and how the research projects impact the lives of children and their families,” said Mark Weiss, a member of the Chandler Elks.
