Olympic Medalist Caitlin Leverenz at Diamond Children’s, Friday

Olympic swimmer Caitlin Leverenz, winner of a bronze medal at the London Games, will visit with sick and injured pediatric patients Friday, Nov. 23 at The University of Arizona Medical Center – Diamond Children’s, 1501 N. Campbell Ave. 
 
The Tucson native and Sahuaro High School grad is in town to celebrate Thanksgiving with family, taking a short break from her studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Leverenz – the top collegiate swimmer in the nation last season – capped a magical season when she captured the bronze medal in the 200-meter individual medley at the 2012 Olympic Games last summer.
 
Leverenz will be available to answer reporters’ questions from 11 to 11:30 a.m., in the Diamond Children’s lobby. She will then tour Diamond Children’s. Media are invited to join her.
