TUCSON, Ariz. – A free Health and Safety Fair will be held Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the El Rio Neighborhood Center at 1390 W. Speedway Blvd.
This health fair will focus on reaching out to the underserved portion of the community by offering free exams and health screenings for conditions such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma and high cholesterol. Flu shots will be available, as will chiropractic services, massage therapy and dental care. Pharmacists and pharmacy students also will provide one-on-one medication reviews. To participate, people should bring the prescription and over-the-counter medicines they take regularly, or bring a medication list that includes complete dosage information.
There will be more than 70 exhibitors and a raffle. The event is free and open to the public. Spanish translators will be available.
