UA Sarver Heart Center Presents ‘Stroke Update: Caring for the Survivor and Caregiver'

Heart Health Lecture Series featuring specialists from the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center, held monthly at Pima County public libraries. A Chest-Compression-Only Video and hands-on skills training will be offered before the lecture.

Chest-Compression-Only CPR training is presented by the REACT (Resuscitation Education and CPR Training) Group, UA College of Medicine – Tucson medical students dedicated to teaching people lifesaving skills.
 
                        In collaboration with the Pima County Public Library System.
 
COST:            Free and open to the public. Free parking is available.

                        Stroke is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States and the leading cause of long-term severe disability. Learn about stroke risk factors and prevention, plus how community support helps stroke survivors and caregivers.

Leslie Ritter, PhD, RN, professor of nursing and neurology at the UA Colleges of Nursing and Medicine and the William M. Feinberg, MD, Endowed Chair in Stroke Research at the UA Sarver Heart Center, is the coordinator of the University of Arizona Medical Center Primary Stroke Center.
