Understanding Prostate Cancer from Diagnosis to Treatment

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., will present Understanding Prostate Cancer from Diagnosis to Treatment on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. The free event will take place at the campus of Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., 1910 E. Innovation Drive, Oro Valley.
 
This presentation by UA prostate cancer experts Mitch Sokoloff, MD, FACS, professor of surgery and chief of urology, UA College of Medicine – Tucson, and Ray Nagle, MD, professor emeritus, Department of Pathology, UA College of Medicine – Tucson, and a medical director at Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., will cover the latest research on the biology, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. Both physicians also are members of the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
 
The event will feature live entertainment, refreshments and a silent auction of items donated by local artists and businesses. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Movember, the international men’s health initiative supporting prostate and testicular cancer education, prevention and research.
