Arizona Cardinals to Visit Patients in Outpatient Clinics of Diamond Children’s

The Arizona Cardinals will make a special visit to Tucson on Wednesday, March 27, from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Players Justin Bethel, Jamell Fleming,two cheerleaders and the Cardinals’ mascot, “Big Red,” will  visit patients at the pediatric hematology-oncology, neurology, general pediatrics and type 1 diabetes outpatient clinics at The University of Arizona Medical Center – Diamond Children’s.

Therapy dog “Barney,” owned by Nicole Bidwill, whose family owns the Arizona Cardinals, will visit patients as well.
 
Nicole’s son will model in this year’s “PANDA Children Helping Children” fashion show event in Phoenix in May, which raises funds for the UA Steele Children’s Research Center, the research partner of Diamond Children’s. PANDA (People Acting Now Discover Answers) is the Phoenix Women’s Board of the Steele Center. Its mission is to support discovery processes that lead to improved treatments and cures for childhood diseases. PANDA has been raising funds for the Steele Center since 1999.
