National Fallen Firefighter Foundation Southern Arizona Chapter will present UAMC Trauma Center donation to support Burn Program

Tuesday, September 10, 2013 - 2:30pm to 3:30pm

The National Fallen Firefighter Foundation Southern Arizona Chapter will present to The University of Arizona Medical Center Trauma Center a check for $10,000 to support its Burn Program at a reception in The University of Arizona Medical Center Marshall Foundation Conference Room 4632 on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Northwest Fire Department Division Chief Gary West will present the check to UAMC Trauma Center Director Peter Rhee, MD, and Burn Director Gary Vercruysse, MD.

The funds were raised at the Foundation’s 7th Annual Benefit Dinner and Golf Tournament on June 7 to help establish a local, full-service burn program for the benefit of Southern Arizona  firefighters and the general public.

The National Fallen Firefighter Foundation Southern Arizona Chapter is a 20-member team of volunteers from 12 fire departments in the metropolitan Tucson area.

UAMC – University Campus operates the only Level 1 trauma center and only inpatient burn program in Southern Arizona.
