On Monday, October 14th, at 1:00pm, the Spirit of Children will host a Halloween party for the patients of The University of Arizona Medical Center-Diamond Children’s.
Launched in 2006, the Spirit of Children program brings Halloween to hospitals and rehabilitation centers for kids that would normally not be able to experience Halloween.
Volunteer Spirit Halloween employees bring Halloween celebrations to hospitals with costumes, decorations and accessories. Pumpkin painting, costume parades, Halloween games and crafts offer a temporary escape for the young patients. The program has raised more than $4 million for hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.
