Former UA Wildcat Sean Elliott and His Wife, Claudia, to Tour Diamond Children’s Oct. 16

Former UA Wildcat and San Antonio Spur, Sean Elliott, and his wife, Claudia, will tour Banner Children’s -  Diamond Children’s Medical Center on Friday, Oct. 16, at 2:30 pm.

Elliott and his wife will be in Tucson to host the 5th Annual “I Think I Can” Gala, benefitting the UA Steele Children’s Research Center and Diamond Children’s.

The “I Think I Can” gala takes place Friday, Oct. 16, from 6-10 p.m. at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, 3800 E. Sunrise Drive.

The whimsical evening will feature a theme of “I Think I Can” from the children’s classic, “The Little Engine That Could.” There will be cocktails and appetizers, followed by dinner. The event also will feature performances by the UA Jazz Trio and Tucson Circus Arts; dancing to the music of Satyr Entertainment; a live auction and a silent auction. Proceeds from the gala will support a pediatric mobile clinic that will serve underserved children in Tucson, and autoimmune disorders research at the UA Steele Center.
