The Bill Ganz Western Band will kick off Center Stage's spring season at noon Tuesday, Jan. 8 at University Medical Center's Duval Auditorium, 1501 N. Campbell Ave.
Center Stage is a free, lunchtime concert series for the public. The monthly series was established in 1988 with underwriting by retired pediatrician Virginia Furrow, M.D. in honor of her mother, Nola Mann Sugg. Dr. Furrow's wish was to provide a respite for the hospital's busy staff, as well as patients and the public. Today the concert series regularly attracts more than 150 people at each performance.

After the Jan. 8 performance by The Bill Ganz Western Band, Center Stage's spring schedule is:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 5 - The Street Minstrels
    Classical, popular and ethnic music
  • Tuesday, March 5 - University of Arizona Steel Band
Calypso, reggae and classical tunes with a Caribbean twist
  • Tuesday, April 16 - The Seven Pipers
    Bagpipes and Scottish dance
Concerts begin at 12 noon and end at 1 p.m. Bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy the show!
