As a free community service, the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC) offers community physicians and caregivers a variety of informative lectures and educational presentations through Tucson-area cable television systems, as well as the Internet. Medicine Grand Rounds, Surgery Grand Rounds, Public Health Grand Rounds, Nursing Grand Rounds and Pediatric Grand Rounds are cablecast live each month through Cox Cable and People's Choice. Caregivers can learn about the latest medical research and patient treatment in these weekly programs. (Rounds are broadcast live on Cox Cable channel 76 and People's Choice Channel 48.)

  • Surgery Grand Rounds and Medicine Grand Rounds are presented live Wednesdays, 7 to 8 a.m., and noon to 1p.m.
  • Nursing Grand Rounds is televised and streamed on the second Tuesday of the month, noon to 1p.m.
  • Public Health Grand Rounds is presented live on the first and third Tuesday, noon to 1p.m.
  • Pediatrics Grand Rounds is offered live on the fourth and fifth Tuesdays, 12:30 to 1:30p.m.

The Grand Rounds also can be viewed at any time via the Internet at http://video.biocom.arizona.edu. Programs are archived for as long as six months after the date of the live presentation. The requirements for viewing the events are listed on the website.
