Statement from Dr. Marjorie Isenberg, Dean of the College of Nursing

The College of Nursing is grieving over the loss of three of our talented and beloved faculty members. Our hearts are heavy and we are feeling the pain of this tragic event. We will continue to honor Cheryl McGaffic, Barbara Monroe and Robin Rogers by educating the nurses of the future. Our students, faculty and staff are incredibly strong and dedicated individuals and I could not be more impressed with the way they are handling such enormous tragedy. They are a community of caregivers, who are in need of care. While there is pain, we have joined together to begin the process of healing. We are grateful for the many prayers and the tremendous support from the community at large, and especially the professional nursing community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families of these three remarkable women.

EDITORS/REPORTERS NOTE: Dean Marjorie Isenberg will be available for interviews Monday about noon, following the public and private memorials . Please call the Office of Public Affairs for more information, (520) 626-7301.
