The AAC conducts clinical and basic research and educates health-care providers and scientists about the development of more effective therapies. The goal of the research is to change the way patients worldwide are treated. The knowledge gained from this research will develop and test more effective therapies with the hope of reversing the disease process. Currently, there are more than 20 research studies being conducted at the AAC.

The Arizona Arthritis Center Friends support the ACC’s mission to help create a world free of arthritis and autoimmune diseases through education, public awareness and community involvement. Friends’ members are invited to participate in on-going programs and special events created to increase awareness and promote optimal health for arthritis sufferers. Events are held throughout the year and include the upcoming Meet the Researchers Luncheon, Thursday, Nov. 3, at Skyline Country Club and the Eva M.
