The Rincon Chapter of the Optimist International Group donated $1,500 to the UA Steele Children’s Research Center for its pediatric cancer research program.

The funds were raised through their first annual “Casino Night and Silent Auction,” held last month at the Forty Niner Country Club as part of Optimist International's annual “Childhood Cancer Campaign.”

“Every donation is truly appreciated,” said Fayez K. Ghishan, MD, director of the Steele Center. “These funds will be used to further the research being conducted by our pediatric cancer investigators.”
