[AHSC Memo] Dr. Monika Schmelz awarded a Biorepository contract for a NCI funded clinical trial

Dr. Schmelz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, and she is a member of the Lymphoma Consortium with research interest in the biology of MHCII in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

Monika Schmelz, PhD, received a multi-million contract to host the Biorepository (ANCHOR-Arizona Biorepository) for an “Anal Cancer/HSIL Outcomes Research Study (ANCHOR)” sponsored by the National Cancer Institute’s Office of HIV and AIDS Malignancy (OHAM).

ANCHOR is a phase III multi-site clinical trial. The Anchor-Arizona Biorepository anticipates to receive, process and store ~ 320,000 biospecimens during the 8-year clinical trial for future NCI-approved correlative research studies.
