Manon L. O’Connor Joins UA College of Medicine – Tucson As Senior Director of Development

Development professional adds extensive experience to UA Health Sciences’ fundraising team.

Manon L. O’Connor has been appointed senior director of development at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, where she will lead development efforts to advance philanthropic priorities for the college.

O’Connor comes to the UA with more than 15 years of development experience and expertise and is noted for establishing and cultivating strong, valuable relationships with donors, alumni and faculty.

She previously was at the University of Vermont (UVM), where she served in several key development roles, most recently as senior director of development for the UVM Cancer Center. Prior to that, she served as the senior director for major gifts at the UVM College of Medicine and is credited with securing transformational gifts that launched several key programs, including the UVM Center on Aging, the Clinical Simulation Laboratory and numerous endowed faculty positions. O’Connor also served as interim director of development for Fletcher Allen Health Care, now the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Prior to her development career, O’Connor was co-owner and operator of two successful restaurants in Burlington, Vt., and was a highly respected community leader and entrepreneur, serving on several boards, including the Chittenden County Transportation Authority, Burlington Business Association, the Cancer Patient Support Program, the Greater Burlington YMCA and the Lund Family Center. O’Connor is a graduate of Champlain College in Burlington, Vt.
