The TREAT (Treatment, Research and Education of Adipose Tissue) Program at the University of Arizona Health Sciences launched with $1.5M funding from the Lipedema Foundation. Under world-renowned fat disorders expert, Karen Herbst, MD, PhD, Chair of Adipose Tissue, the program has three aims: Treat people with fat disorders; perform cutting-edge Research including advanced imaging, phenotyping, basic and translational science; and create Educational material for healthcare workers.

Arizona has the most reported cases of flu in the country.  It's the only state listed by the CDC as having the highest level of influenza this week.
Dr. Sean Elliott, medical director of Infection Prevention at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson says, "This is the second week of widespread flu, probably going onto the third. Arizona historically has about 5-6 weeks of being widespread as far as influenza."
